This iced apple cinnamon latte is one of my favorite ways to make a fall coffee at home. It has espresso, oat milk, homemade apple syrup, and a creamy dairy-free cold foam on top.

The homemade apple syrup is what gives the latte its apple cinnamon flavor, and I like to drizzle a little extra over the cold foam before drinking it. It’s sweet, creamy, and really easy to make once you have the syrup ready in the fridge.

What Is an Iced Apple Cinnamon Latte?

An iced apple cinnamon latte is made with espresso, milk, and an apple cinnamon syrup served over ice. For this version, I use my homemade apple syrup, which is made by reducing apple juice and adding brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla.

I use oat milk for the latte and finish it with a dairy-free cold foam made with dairy-free heavy cream, oat milk, vanilla, and a little maple syrup.

Ingredients for an Iced Apple Cinnamon Latte

You only need a few ingredients to put the latte together:

For the Dairy-Free Cold Foam

  • Dairy-free heavy cream
  • Oat milk
  • Vanilla extract
  • Maple syrup
  • Salt

Homemade Apple Syrup for Coffee

The apple flavor in this latte comes from my homemade apple syrup. I make it with apple juice, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla, so you get apple and cinnamon in every sip without needing a flavored coffee creamer.

I like making the syrup ahead of time and keeping it in the refrigerator. That way, making the actual iced latte only takes a few minutes.

How to Make an Iced Apple Cinnamon Latte

Start by filling a glass with ice. Add the homemade apple syrup and espresso, then stir them together before pouring in the oat milk.

For the cold foam, combine the dairy-free heavy cream, oat milk, vanilla extract, maple syrup, and salt. Froth everything together until the mixture is thick and creamy.

Pour the cold foam over the latte and finish with another drizzle of homemade apple syrup if you want a little more apple flavor.

Can I Make This Without an Espresso Machine?

Yes. You can use freshly brewed espresso from an espresso machine, but instant espresso works too. Prepare 2 ounces according to the package directions and use it the same way in the latte.

How to Make This Latte Ahead of Time

The easiest part to make ahead is the homemade apple syrup. Keep a bottle in the refrigerator so it’s ready whenever you want to make a latte.

For the best texture, I would make the cold foam right before serving and assemble the drink when you’re ready to have it. This keeps the ice from watering down the coffee and the cold foam thick and creamy.

Instant espresso can be used if you don’t have an espresso machine.
For a less salty cold foam, reduce the salt to â…› teaspoon.
The homemade apple syrup can be prepared ahead of time and kept refrigerated, which makes this an especially quick fall coffee to put together.
