Ingredients

unsweetened cocoa powder

espresso powder

vanilla extract
Instructions
In a small saucepan, combine ½ cup sugar and ½ cup water. Stir until the sugar dissolves.
Add 1 tsp unsweetened cocoa powder and ¾ tsp espresso powder to the mixture. Stir until smooth.
Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat and let it cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens slightly.
Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in 1 tsp vanilla extract.
Allow the syrup to cool completely before using.
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
