How are these printables beneficial
- Visual Discrimination: These activities help children develop visual discrimination skills, which is the ability to perceive the difference between objects or symbols based on colors, shapes, sizes, and orientations.
- Brain Development: Matching work is good for children’s brain development as it requires deep concentration, which can be calming and deeply satisfying for the child.
- Fine Motor Skills: Shadow matching activities can help develop fine motor skills as children draw lines to connect the images and their shadows.
- Vocabulary Building: These activities can also help build vocabulary as children learn the names of objects, letters, and numbers through the process of matching.
- Independent Learning: Shadow matching activities are simple to use and can be done independently, allowing children to engage in self-directed learning.

Items I Use For Printables
- Copy Paper & Cardstock: Depending on what project or worksheet I’m doing with my kids, I will always have copy paper and cardstock. Cardstock is more durable than copy paper.
- Crayons: Of course for coloring pages and other worksheets, I will always have crayons.
- Markers: Crayola’s washable markers are one of my favorites. The colors are vibrant and they easily wash off of my kids hands and my table if any accidental marks happen.
- Colored pencils: These can be used for more detailed coloring.
- Laminating pouches: For worksheets i want to use over and over i like to put them in laminating pouches.
- Laminating machine: If you use the laminating pouches, you will need a laminating machine to seal the pouch.
